Behind the Brand: Forged (part 3)

Brand Story
I call it the "why behind the what".
Why should someone care about your brand?
OK pause on the serious stuff for a sec.
One of my guilty pleasures is superheroes. (I think everyone needs a hero to inspire them, someone they can look up to, learn from. I call them shadow mentors. I've had many through the years.)
Superheroes aren't just for kids. The finest examples are complex characters we can relate to. They are surrounded by LORE. They each have a unique origin story that explains their superpowers and weaknesses.
Hollywood knows we all need heroes. Google "hero's journey" and you'll dive down a deep rabbit hole that ties every blockbuster from Star Wars to Harry Potter together. It's a proven storytelling formula - the unlikely hero is called to action, tested, and either wins or learns. This is life.
WIN OR LEARN.
Every kid has a favorite hero. They will tell you the character's entire lore way past your yawning point. Just ask them "how are your video games going" and find out for yourself. (Make sure you've got nothing else scheduled for a few hours though.)
But when I ask adults, I get awkward ummms or nervous laughs while they back away slowly and look for the nearest exit. They've lost their imagination. They've lost their inspiration. They've lost their superpowers somewhere between their cubicle and the ladder to the corner office.
HEROES ARE MADE NOT BORN.
OK now back to the story behind Forged.
Forged makes motivational medallions (aka metal coins) proven to achieve 33% more.
It's exactly what I used to learn how to walk again.
It's what I carry every day to remind myself that every moment matters.
It's a small token I give out to others to encourage them on their life's path to KEEP GOING.
It's how I remember that everything great starts small.
It's how I remember to be 1% better than yesterday.
That's the "why" behind why I created Forged.
The bigger concept is that LIFE IS ACTION.
Since 5,000 BC, metal coins have been awarded as medals of honor for those brave enough to take action against all odds. Military leaders from ancient Rome to modern day give out challenge coins. Each is unique. Each tells its own story. The bearer of every coin is worthy of buying the first round & listening to – you might just learn a legendary lesson.
